Domaine les Persenades
Located in the heart of Gascony, Domaine des Persenades has been in the family since 1650 and contains over 90 ha (222 acres) of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Sauvignon, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc. The vineyards cover the plateau of Ténarèze which gives their typicity to the wine.
In the beginning of the 20th century Roger Marou, a well-known Armagnac producer, named the estate “Château des Persenades.” Persenades was actually the name of a parcel of vines well known for its aromas in the early 19th century.
Persenades is committed to a permanent quality approach, respecting the charter of the independent winegrowers association. They are also certified “Excellence Gers” and “Bienvenue à la Ferme”, and have established a Sustainable Development Policy. The Persenades estate proposes a large range of IGP Côtes-de-Gascogne wines made from traditional grapes raised with care and bottled at the estate.
